The study of video games is based on the idea of choosing the best project for our students to bet on their integral development and facilitate their path to the world of work. From the training center, we offer the opportunity to work with our studio of audiovisuals and video games, to enrich and perfect their project with the intention of becoming a video game powerful enough to be published in the market, thanks to the destination of hours and effort throughout a year providing possible improvements and training with all expenses paid.
Objective and purpose
The students of upper cycle have to develop a Final Project of Degree when finalizing the upper studies, with the end to integrate the knowledges learned of transversal way by the development of a videogame, integrating the diverse disciplines that work, the modeling, animation, programming, VR and AR interaction.
Our video game studio is based on the idea of choosing the best project for our students to bet on their integral development and facilitate their path to the world of work. From the training center, we offer the opportunity to work with our audiovisual and video game producer, to enrich and perfect their project with the intention of becoming a video game powerful enough to be marketed in the market, thanks to the allocation of hours and effort throughout a year providing possible improvements and training with all expenses paid.
In addition, it should be noted that the teaching-learning process to which they can access when carrying out this project leads them to another opportunity for professional success in the sector, thus ensuring the improvement of the contents ( of animation, modeling, design, VR, AR and MR, etc.) specifying with something relevant to them and therefore offering contextualized and competence-based learning. Therefore the main branches of the Studio are the Incubation of Projects of students of end of Degree and the Production of audiovisual initiatives destined to the commercial market.
How do we Work?
Students who actively participate in Sant Marc Studios, do so in a co-working space with computers, hardware and software that allows them to develop those tasks necessary by virtue of the type of project they are carrying out.
In the morning or afternoon, students work in teams as if they were individual production studios, while other students may be working on professional projects commissioned by the STUDIO de Sant Marc itself. This establishes a correlation between students who enjoy work experience with the support of mentors in the sector, with other alumni or professionals who produce projects on their own initiative or commissioned by clients.
We direct the design of the contents with a logical distribution where a series of necessary knowledge is proposed sequentially throughout the training. We are a Higher Education Center that relies on the creation of a two-way teaching and learning dependent on exchange, interdependence and interaction, generating in its entirety the teaching, digital and audiovisual material that underpins virtual classes in real time. . This allows us to review and modify the contents continuously by updating the most innovative and relevant information in the sector.
On the other hand, a thorough follow-up is carried out to ensure a continuous and individualized evaluation and, to guarantee, a better production of the projects. That is why various exercises, real-time virtual classes, discussion forums, questionnaires, etc. are proposed.
Our assessment aims to escape the traditional model of teaching that chooses to respond to the content acquired. Therefore, we want to promote the evaluation based on the achievement of competences consistent with the activities and projects that we encourage, which allows the transfer of knowledge, skills and attitudes, bringing students closer to a teaching-learning process. and contextualized. In this sense, we promote a formative and formative assessment, ensuring progress in the acquisition of knowledge at an appropriate pace and covering needs based on adjustments.
